Water Activities / Paddlesport Meeting 7.45 pm March 16 2010

Ø Do you have an interest in Canoe and Kayaking?
Ø Are you interested in getting an Activity Permit for canoe and/or kayaking?
Ø Did you know there is funding available for courses resulting in a Scout Activity Permit?
Ø Would you like to know what’s involved in getting a permit for water activities?
Ø Would you be interested in running/attending a paddlesport event for your pack, troop or unit in Leeds?
Ø What about either organising or attending an organised multi-day canoe trip from Ripon to York?
Ø D of E expeditions – The River Spey, in Scotland, is a great multi day trip finishing by the sea.
Ø How about 5 nights wild camping/open canoeing in one of the national parks of Canada?

Ø What about a multi-activity (kayaking & walking) trip, say to Morocco?
Presenting on the evening will be John Lucas (County Assessor & Canoe England Regional Coaching Organiser) and Martin Wilby (Country Assessor).

Central Yorkshire Scout County serves the metropolitan areas of Leeds and Wakefield in the north of England. We have a vibrant membership which numbers over 6500. Our Scout County is situated from Pontefract and Castleford in the south-east to Wetherby in the north.
We operate eight Scout Districts and host a wide variety of activity centres and campsites.
