County Expedition 2008Central Yorkshire Scout County will take an expedition of 65 members to Kenya from 26 July to 16 August 2008. The expedition will have three parts: Camel Trek: Two separate Groups will take part in a ten day trek with camels in the Laikipia region north of Nakuru. Mountain: A group will climb and trek on Mt. Kenya using the Sirimon Route, hopefully climbing Point Lenana (4985m). Community Project: A team will build classrooms and restore an existing school building at a school near Rumuruti, Laikipia District. This work is funded by local support, Central Yorkshire County Scout Council and Holmfirth Rotary. It is hoped to send reports back from Kenya to this site; we will keep you posted.
